As a result of our continued business expansion plan, an opportunity exists with us at our Legal Department.

The Profile

Title Due Diligence & Approvals

  • Verify and approve land titles for leases, property acquisitions, mortgages, and title restructuring.
  • Review, evaluate, and provide critical commentary on title reports, draft deeds, agreements, and powers of attorney.

Legal Drafting & Attestation

  • Draft, execute, and attest notarial instruments for commercial and routine transactions, including Indentures of Lease, Deeds of Transfer, Deeds of Gift, Mortgage Bonds, Deeds of Declaration, Powers of Attorney, and commercial agreements.
  • Prepare and oversee the execution of non-notarial instruments, including AT forms, priority notices, and affidavits.

Regulatory Liaison & Team Leadership

  • Liaise with statutory regulators and relevant public authorities to facilitate operational and transactional compliance.
  • Mentor, guide, and support junior legal team members on document standards and transactional workflows.

Personal and Skills Profile

  • Possess a minimum of 10 years' legal experience with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Attorney-at-Law of the supreme court of Sri Lanka.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B).
  • License to practice as a Notary within the jurisdiction of Colombo
  • Possess excellent writing and verbal communication skills in English and Sinhala Language.
