The Job Purpose:

Dialog Axiata PLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented legal professional to join our Group Legal and Regulatory team. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of law and business, supporting contract management, legal advisory, and regulatory compliance across the organisation. You will play a key part in ensuring that business operations are supported by robust legal frameworks and risk-managed contracting practices.

The Job:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial and operational contracts
  • Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including execution, renewals, and amendments
  • Provide timely and practical legal advice to internal stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and commercial risks within contracts
  • Support the identification and resolution of contractual disputes, including reviewing and interpreting relevant contract provisions, engaging with counterparties to reach resolution, and coordinating with external legal counsel where required
  • Maintain contract templates, clause libraries, and documentation standards
  • Drive efficiency through the use of digital tools and contract management systems
  • Support data protection, privacy, and cybersecurity considerations in contractual arrangements

Entry Requirements

The Person:

  • Possess a recognised Bachelor of Laws degree from a reputable university and be an Attorney-at-Law. Postgraduate qualifications would be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 4 years of post-qualification experience in a commercial legal role; proven hands-on experience in commercial contracts drafting is essential
  • Strong grounding in commercial and contract law
  • Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks
  • Working knowledge of technology-related contracts (SaaS, IT, digital services) is an advantage
  • Understanding of data protection and privacy laws
  • Strong legal drafting and negotiation skills
  • Experience in handling contractual disputes, including reviewing and interpreting contract terms, engaging with counterparties, and working with external counsel to support resolution
  • Strategic thinking with a commercial mindset
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
  • A collaborative team player who works effectively with colleagues across legal and business functions, contributes positively to team goals, and builds strong working relationships within the Group Legal and Regulatory team and across the Dialog Group
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proficiency in legal tech tools and digital platforms
